Before training as a counsellor, I spent 25 years working in overseas development at senior management and director level. This experience has given me a deep understanding of people, relationships, and the stresses and strains that come with a demanding career. I understand workplace pressures, leadership challenges, and the complexities of balancing professional responsibilities with personal wellbeing. I still work as a consultant, which keeps me connected to the realities of modern working life.
My background includes working with a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties. I'm mindful of the stresses and challenges of living in the modern world, the pressures we all face, the pace of life, and how our social, economic, and cultural situations shape our experiences.
I work with adults aged 18 and over, offering both short-term and long-term therapy. Whether you come for a few sessions to work through a specific issue or choose to stay longer for deeper exploration, we'll work at a pace that feels right for you. Sessions are available both face-to-face from my practice in Dartington and online.
